Fortunately, PIA works hard in Washington, D.C. to advocate public policy that benefits and protects the industry.
But who is print?s most effective advocate?
You and your peers are! As constituents, you play a unique and vital role in telling Congress how legislation impacts your ability to generate economic growth, create jobs, maintain safe and environmentally responsible worksites, and contribute overall to the nation?s economic security.
That?s why it?s critical that PIA/GATF member companies join together in Washington, D.C., June 17?18 to attend the 2008 PIA Legislative Conference. PIA/GATF member companies from across the nation will come together for a dynamic one and one-half day program to take the industry?s message directly to Capitol Hill.
The 2008 PIA Legislative Conference registration is FREE to PIA/GATF members. (Non-member registration is $395.) In addition to personal lobbying visits on Capitol Hill, this one-of-a-kind event includes:
- ?Breakfast with the White House??featuring a keynote address by a White House/federal agency officials
- imPRINT Policy Briefings?featuring U.S. Senators? and Representatives? remarks on tax reform, health insurance reform, labor and environmental policy, with a special briefing on state-level initiatives to restrict direct mail
- ?Print the Town Red, White & Blue? Congressional Reception & ?Senatorial Stars? Luncheon?honoring select federal lawmakers with industry appreciation awards and featuring a ?Green Printing? display
- ?A Monumental Affair? Reception & Dinner?featuring remarks by nationally known political pundit Frank Luntz, a regular on FOX News coverage of Election 2008

All events take place at the official conference hotel: the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill and in Capitol Hill and downtown D.C. locations. Transportation is provided to off-site events.
