We have a situation where we have a Xerox 8160 large format printer and have lost the dongle in moving the equpment. To replace the dongle Xerox wants $3500.00. Anyone have any ideas as to where we could replace or an idea for a work around??

Was it under a service contract?

Did Xerox do the move?

Did you have insurance on the move?

Have you tried eBay or Craigslist?

Is the dongle for the RIP or the printer itself? Can you print directly to it?

If memory serves, it can take preformatted RTL, so all you need is something to output RTL, which Prinergy can, not sure what workflow software you have?
