Is anybody else out there having trouble perfect binding jobs when the cover prints off the Igen. I cannot get the glue to stick whenever I print an inside cvr off our Igen on C1S stock. I know it is the fuser oil because if I have my bindery folks scuff up the spine after printing I can get the glue to stick. We are about to land an account with alot of small qty perfect binding and we wont be able to do this with the volume coming our way. Is anybody familiar with this problem or maybe found a perfect bind glue that will adhere to these Igen covers?

We use to have a lot of problems with this. Then we switched to the glues that Xerox White papers recommends. We had a lot of success for a while then started having problems off and on (I was guessing maybe some glues go mixed up.). We started using a different machine 3l months ago and have had NO problems since. I would recommend 3 things.

1) Use the right glue..
2) Do not print toner on the inside cover with it glues..
3) Be sure you machine is set up correct.

If you do this you shouldn't have any issues...

I did find that Domtar c1s works better than Carolina c1s.....

Hope this helps..

which fuser fluid are you using? I or II we used to have problems with II when it came to running projects that needed: tabbing glueing or coating. but now we are back to I and find no more problems and we can actualy go back to II at any time with out wating for our tech to show up thanks to his training we got from him on how to replace fuser fluid resevore.

We too are very well versed on changing fuser oil and yes we too converted back to Fuser I after some issues with II but still having trouble with the perfect bind glue adhering to the inside cvr.
