As a member of this user forum I find myself checking in as often as I can, usually once a week lately. I find it to be a GREAT tool in communication our experiences and getting impartial opinions.....

I notice the the activity seems to be lacking what I think should be..

What do you contribute this to?

What does this site need to stir up more activity?

What would it take to get YOU to participate more?

Considering the vast topics of the site I would think the conversations would be endless..

When there are so many user groups out there that you need to pay memberships to, it is refreshing to see a great site like this that is run for the people, by the people..

Time is precious to all of us these days, but if each of us would just take the time to check in and CONTRIBUTE, we could all prosper from it's benefits..

What's your thoughts??

Dale, all I can say is DITTO!

I check at least once a week and have even thought something was wrong since there were no new posts.

I have picked up a lot of information from this forum and feel most of the posters are rather knowledgeable and I appreciate their input. I have even referred a few people I know to this forum.

The only thing I can attribute the lack of activity to is maybe the majority of the members no longer have questions and their equipment is working flawlessly ohmy.gif (not)

What about conversation starters by throwing out a random topic, or tell us about a problem you came across and found the solution yourself.

Just a thought.

I admit it has been quite around here.

Not sure why?

I agree, a daily grip section or tips and tricks might help.

The reality is that for every one post there are over a hundred reads.

Far more people read then post, so it comes does to a few posters for a lot of readers.

I'll try to start some threads again see if some discussions can get started.

Well, hopefully the changes are better. The import of the RSS news feeds should help a bit.

It is really hard to find print related news that is being sent out via RSS. HP's feed isn't even valid RSS, some just put links to their page, it is really annoying.

For those that don't know what RSS is, RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is an XML file that contains all the recent news or posts for a site or part of a site. The reason RSS is really cool, is that you can set up a newsreader (or in our case the forum) to automatically go out and grab the RSS feed, parse it and display it to you. It saves you from having to go to every site, every day just to find out nothing has changed.
