Our Igen3 is reproducing solid tints very poorly. We originally thought it was a humidity problem but we have installed a state of the art humidification system that is working beyond even Xerox's expectations. We run a lot of Domtar Cornwall coated 10 and 12pt paper. I thought this was the issue but I have tried some other brands and I am still seeing the same results. Xerox is not sure what is the problem is and has sent samples off to New York. My 8000 is running all the same papers with very good fills. We have only had our Igen for about 4 months. The first 2.5 to 3 months this was not an issue. Has anyone else run into this?

What exactly is happening with your tints? The main issues we have with our tints is non-uniformity from OB to IB edge but its within our tolerances, and color streaks. Usually what we have done to help with the problem is replace the corresponding wire mods, perform regular HFSI's, new PR belt , and new fuser roll, even replace the developer. Either one or all of those changes usually produces better results for us. Some tints just look bad no matter what you do and some tints are great all the time. In time you will realize what works best on your iGEN, it takes a lot of trial and error. Hope this helps.

We got the problem fixed. There was some severe transfer issues going on with the belt. We had an engineer from Rochester come in to fix it. Thanks for the response.
