The Igen was not our department leadership's first preference, however we had a VP at the time, that was into the Latest and Greatest and Xerox sold him on that, which is why we were the first in the Region to purchase one. Being the first one, has had it's trials and tribulation, but overall we are very satisfied with the choice. Our customer's have been very impressed with it's quality and speed (compared to the old 2060 we had before the IGen), thus our Digital Color Volume has nearly quadrupled in 4 years.

I would have to say it's been our long standing relationship with Xerox. (you can stop here or go into the long explaination).
We started with b&w printers here that has allowed us to produce a lot of one to one marketing solutions well before others was doing it digitally. We have a habit of being the first to try a lot of new products. Some have been wonderful, some have not. Xerox has worked with us continuously on serving our client needs including allowing us to be test markets for some early product releases. That has allowed us to get a good idea as to what we can offer our clients and what we are not good at (ha ha). The service has been good and when it hasn't those issues have been addressed immediately. Having quick service has been one of our main demands from Xerox and to the most part they have delivered. That has been an issue with some of our other ventures.
We actually waited before ordering our iGens (we have four total located at several locations) which is unusual for us but it was worth it. We looked at several options prior to making a decision and Xerox came out on top when looking at the total package (quality, speed, service, etc). We had some initial problems with files and productivity but Xerox has worked with us to get those resolved. So much so that they used a lot of our issues as a basis for some of there upgrade releases.

Thanks for your reply.
Do you mean the image quality and productivity of iGen3 are the best? Actually I saw some print out from Kodak and HP and I think in some color they have better look and feel. Especially when printed with Pantone color. How can you guys address it?
