First off my name is Al and I work for a university, in their inplant printshop. For the first 35 years I was the lead Pressman, and for tthe last 2 the lead IGEN
operator. It's been a long learning process but I think I'm getting there. Now to the amines. For the last several months, we have been having PR belts go bad in as little as 1 day. Xerox claims it is amines in the air through the steam humidifying system, causing corrosion of the belt. We did not have this problem last winter. Has anyone else run into this?
