Full Version: Change Resource check when prepping file in Acrobat?
Digital Print Forums > Full Color > Kodak

Hello, we usually prepare or files and inpositioning in Acrobat for the Nexpress. We are able to change the standard jobticket used by changing the jobticket.jt file manually in a text editor (located in the Acrobat folder). The only thing we are not able to change yet is the RESOURCE CHECK which is always on SEVERE. Can we change that to tolerant? Many times we get the red bar with resource errors which I want to avoid using tolerant. Changing the text file doesn't help.

Cheers,
Joris

you should be able to change the default job ticket. this changes the default press wide. i am pretty sure resource check severity can be changed there. i know it can change the stop policy.

i will try to find my notes about its location.

Hi John, someone on the NexPress forum helped me with this. Basically create one other job ticket and have Acrobat NexPress Imposition Viewer drop its files in that job ticket. Naturally having that job ticket run all jobs with Resource Check on tolerant.

Joris,

I am glad you found a solution that will work. I would still look into the default job ticket so that you could have that change globally without having to do something on each job. Here is a link to the instructions.

I linked to it on my site since the uploads does not seem to be working. We will be working on that.

Cheers,
John

Hi John, thanks for the reply. More info and possible solutions at http://www.nexpressforum.com/viewtopic.php...&highlight=

This has to do with the Acrobat plugin NexStation Imposition Viewer which we use daily to submit jobs and change signatures. I wanted the default settings from there to be better. Submitting it to a default jobticket it will still use the jobs own settings that are being sent from Imp. Viewer.

Seeing your info I can just edit on Nexstation and then move the jobticket with the right naming to Acrobat's Nexpress path!!! biggrin.gif
