igen 3 docusp xmpie
we are having an issue with trapping black type on a 4/c background as of 12.11.06 xerox is working on the issue.
we have had some luck making a pdf from xmpie and diable pantone on the doc seems to help but with this project pdf is not an option the project is to big.
any feedback on this

Try making the black text 4 color black, since the DocuSP can't trap black over any color, since it would then fall over to black overprint / knockout, which VIPP doesn't do.
Forcing it to a 4 color black should trick the DocuSP to Trap it correctly (or incorrectly with desired results) and should solve your problem.
