I'm curioius what others think of Printables web to print solution. We are finding a lot of limitations and have had several issue with it including times when their sever is down..

If you are using it, what are your thoughts and feelings...

Thanks for your input!

Hi Dale,

Well, I haven't looked all that closely at the web solution; however, I do use Printable's Fusion Pro and have had problems with the server it phones home to when validating license information. It has been down for significant portions of a day with no possible work around.

I would definately look into there stability; however, I suspect most of the problems are related to growth pains after dropping the price, but still not good..

I have to beg the differ with you here.. I use fusion pro quite extensivly and push the limits all the time and have had no problem at all other than the imposer and that is only due to learning how it interpets bleeds and such... Their web to print has a lot of shortcommings and limitations.. Thanks for the imput though..

Dale,

I guess my original post wasn't all that clear. The product Fusion Pro Desktop is great. It has some amazing functionality for a GUI based variable system. I personally have found very few short comings; however, I believe Patrick found a problem with the imposer. My only major complaint is when it tries to occasional self-register / verify license over the internet with there license server, that license server is not always available. I experienced that as recently as last week. I attribute that problem to there recent growth.

Regardless, best of luck to you. Let us know if you discover anything else of interest.
