Greetings all. Is anyone out there using PPML?

Has any one found a good resource for learning PPML?

Does anyone have a simple PPML job example they could upload? Possibly one with a letter with an address block and greeting.

Thanks,
john

I found the site to get the PODi PPML Specifications!

Good reading. You may need to register (which is free) to get to the documents.

What is PPML? Should I be using it? I use a little VIPP, but mostly do variable through word or printshop mail. The VIPP I use I have to hire out the programming.

PPML is an open alternative to VIPP. It is a postscript based language for Variable Print.

PPML stand for: personalized print markup language.

More information can be found at:

PPML is an intriguing alternative. Unfortunately, it is not very commonly used, there are very few if any IDEs for it and the WYSIWYG interfaces do not do a very good job outputting ppml yet. Hopefully that will change with time.

What is the licensing model for PPML? Is it open source? Do I have to pay for it?
