The title says it all, do we, or should we separate out the individual forums into subforums for specific devices, ie. iGen3, Nexpress, Indigo?

Let me know your thoughts. I know Dale is bringing in a lot of new folks from his mailing lists and if anyone wants any changes, let me know. This is after all, a user to and for user board, structure can be changed easily.

I think that is a good idea. Additionally I think it is time to subdivide some of the device groups. Subgroups for things like substrates, orcs, etc.

The only downside, which we should get some other's feedback on is, the amount of forums one would need to subscribe to get emails from... I just want to make sure we balance the division of information with the ability to find and participate.

I agree, but I think logical groupings / categories makes it easier to filter information that being forced to search.

Here is another question to be answered...

Would people feel more comfortable in the device specific forums if they were secured from general reading, in other words, you need to apply or be approved to be in the device specific forums some how?

As an alternative, maybe not be approved, but rather be forced to atleast register. That will prevent all from reading and limit the site to members interested enough to actually register.
