We upgraded to an iGen in July 2008. We had a docucolor 5000 prior to this and still currently have a docucolor 8000 - both using Creo VPS. When we installed the iGen we got the FFPS and XMPie. We found that XMPie would not process/rip our large database files very quickly and so we changed to VIPP Pro Publisher and it rips the file at an incredible rate. Once we finally got the file ripped and put in in the hot folder, we went to print the file. For purposes of easier handling, we break the print jobs up into groups of 2-3,000 records (the entire file is 65,000). When we do this, for some reason when the file prints, all of the tabs on the page show up with a mark. They are not that way in the In Design file. If you print one record to a regular printer not using VIPP it doesn't show up. Our Xerox rep has not been able to resolve this. Any suggestions or thoughts?
