I print PDF/X-1a files on CREO Spire with CSA / Perceptual options.
Is-it the right way ??

Does it work for you?

PDF/X-4 and X-5 will support digital output engines, but no idea as to the support from Creo on those standards. Indesign CS4 will be able to output those standards.

So your mileage may vary...

Do you get PDF/X-1a files or is that the standard you are creating PDF files for submission to the CREO?

Do you drop the pdf's on a hotfolder or print them from Acrobat?
