Lean Tools for Optimizing Print Production

This unique Lean Manufacturing workshop focuses Lean Manufacturing on the shop floor by identifying and eliminating all forms of waste and non-value-added activities. Lean goals include: decreasing production costs, reducing lead time, improving financial performance, and achieving rapid response to customer needs. This workshop by the PIA/GATF Center for Lean Practices will provide hands-on Lean tools applied to print production areas. Participants will benefit from a series real-life examples and take part in printing-specific Lean simulations and hands-on exercises.

Rhonda Huskins is a full-time Lean Manufacturing consultant with the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership. She has over 20 years of manufacturing and senior engineering expertise in printing and other industries, including recently serving as director of continual improvement for Wikoff Color Corporation, a manufacturer of printing inks and coatings.
