I am considering buying a DocuColor 6060 to do mostly Book binding. I found a used one for ~$50K that has 6.5 million impression. They say "continually maintained in excellent condition by Xerox service personnel and components changed out as needed to maintain commercially acceptable print quality."

Thoughts on the price? Assuming it still does a great job, anyone have any thoughts to how much life is left in this guy? Anything I should check for in particular?

It all comes down to what rip it has and what software version it is or could be upgraded to.

50k isn't a bad price, but without a rip it would be high. 6.5million is a lot, but as long as you put it on a Xerox contract, it should be good to go.
