I am running igen3 w/Creo version 4.0.38.

Could someone explain to me about formatting the Creo Image disk. How often should I format the disk? Is there specific results of not formatting? Is it better to do it on a regular basis or wait until something goes wrong? blink.gif

Thanks in advance

patrick
Creo is a hard drive / disk based rip, meaning it processes pages to video data using the hard drives (image disk array) and then sends the data to the print engine.

Since disk corruption, io read problems and fragmentation can occur on any hard drive, the theory is that if you format the image disks you minimize the potential for problems.

However, if you are experiencing frequent issues, and formatting the image disks fixes it for a short time, you may be experiencing hard drive or controller card failure.
