I am interested in hearing from those who are running their CLC4000/5000's. We are currently running between 25,000 and 45,000 clicks/month, 90% 12x18 80lb cover 4/4 90+% coverage.
Most of what we run are variable mailers, I was under the impression I would be able to manually duplex from the R1 Deck, I am now told that we can run the first side from the deck but the second side will have to be run from the by-pass? All because the machine will not be able to clean the extra fuser oil from the transfer belt, seems like a firmware glich to me. Has anyone found a way around this?
I am also somewhat leary about the durability of the CLC4000, after our first 100K we had major electronic issues, they had to remove our machine, bring a loner and take ours to their shop to fix it. They found that we lost the Yellow and Cyan laser, one of the control boards. They seem to think that the stepdown transformers (220 volts to 208) may have had something to do with this, they were attached to the rear of the machine right over a control board, they have since been moved to the wall. Since they have brought ours back we are experiencing some CQ issues that I feel are from the move, the machine was transported 120 miles from their shop.
I would be interested in hearing from those who have one of these machines and wether or not anyone is haveing simular problems.
